  1. I found that the new chrome pieces were too long so I had to smash little "fingered washer" things like a rivet onto the posts, then use my dremel tool and a cutoff wheel and grind the posts down so they would allow the scoop to fit the car.

So the answer to your question is, yes, you ground off the stud tabs and everything comes apart. Then you get the new ones with small locking washers that you smash onto the new studs to hold them in place again. Then you grind down the new stud to fit the scoop to your car.

  2. Mike. thanks for the reply. I havent installed it yet and Im hunting down all of my parts now. Its a 93 Mustang AOD. the shifter nub points down. Im trying to use my stock throttle cable from the 69. I would love a good write up on any snags you ran into and what you used for your swap. It would help a lot. Plus it would be here for any other AOD guys.

  5. Yeah....that?s right FC2 maybe FC1. Well shippy.....it's the absolute least I can do for someone serving this country!!!! If I could do the swap for you I would!

Thank you. I did pick up E-6 in December so FC1, you have already pretty much built this thing for me man. I probably would have skipped on the tranny if I had not have found your thread about the install. All of the help I have gotten so far is soooo greatly appreciated!
