the entire bezel is "chromed" . . the exposed sides around the wood are matte black with a thin chrome line . . the inner and outer ring faces are chrome . . the inside sides next to the gauges is argent silver or dull aluminum kinda gray.

I would not rely on the twist locks, they can twist open, and they can suck down the area around the lock as it is only holding the skin of the hood.

I just purchased the repair kit for mine off eBay. I haven't done the repair yet, but it looks fairly straight forward.

Nice story, 34 years ago, I was stationed at Robbins AFB in Georgia and a pretty girl appeared on base driving a grabber green '70 Mach 1, we met a few days later and got married. Still call the gal my wife and the Mach is still in the garage......

I bought a set of Jet Hot coated Hookers @ $600.00 headers for a cleveland in a '70, the biggest pain in the butt ever, clearance problems everywhere. Lots of back and forth with Hooker, ended up with them telling me my frame was tweaked,,BS!!!! I have a set of old black jacks, take out the header bolts and they almost fall to the floor. Almost everybody I've spoken with tells me that Hookers IF they fit are terribly tight....FYI

I swapped over to a GR starter and love it!!! Winds our cleveland over like there wern't any plugs in it. Had to run one wire from my solenoid to the starter, very easy and love it....

Has anybody ever done or heard of replacing a headliner (70 Mach) without removing the front and rear glass??? I seem to recall it can be done by gluing. I ask because the mice have done a number on ours but I want to avoid disturbing the glass at all cost. Thanks for any info folks.....
