  1. You need the "kick down bar" hooked up in order to have the transmission to up and down shift. One piece of the linkage goes on the carburetor linkage. This part is elongated and is held on with a cotter key and washer, this part slides back and forth. The other end of the linkage goes down to the transmission and is connected there. The linkage should be made up of several pieces. Take it to a transmission shop, if you have any questions. If I recall correctly, there should be a spring on a bracket attached to the intake manifold. This spring keeps tension on the kickdown.

  2. You will need a power brake pedal. I don't have the info at hand, but check CJ's or National Parts Depot.

This info from CJ's description page:

BRAKE PEDAL ASSEMBLY AUTOMATIC POWER BRAKES 1967-1969

    Part Number: PDA

Brake Pedal Assembly for 1967-1969 Mustangs with Power Brakes and an Automatic Transmission.

This is a direct replacement for your damaged or missing original brake pedal assembly.

Mounts with a 3/8" bolt in the top of the pedal support. Pedal is longer than a 1967-1969 manual brake pedal due to the different mounting position.

*This pedal is made from 1968 style tooling. It will fit 1967 without any problems but does have some visual differences. It has more curvature at the bottom to provide clearance for the 1968 style steering column. The pedal position remains the same at the bottom but it does use a 1968-1969 style pedal pad. Use HW1205 for the pedal pad.

*Will also fit 1970 Mustangs with a 1967-1969 style brake booster only.

  3. This is probably off the subject somewhat but my son and I own a 69 Mustang coupe. It came off the line Aztec Aqua, red when I bought it. It has the nonfunctioning hood scoop w/turn signals, 302 2V motor, dual racing mirrors, LH mirror has a remote adj knob. It also has chrome GT wheels w/center caps. It was April '69 build San Jose.

Is this the GT attraction group package? I know real GTs came w/351.

  4. Hi! First post here. I went a different route than trying to reglue the windows on my 69 coupe. Living in western Washington state, I went to a place called Rick's Pony Parts rural Arlington, WA. He has (or Had) a Mustang parts yard. (It was 15 or so years ago.)

He recommended using windows and some of the window raising hardware from a '70 Mustang coupe. You must replace the front and rear seat windows in order for this to work. The front windows have a hole in the lower portion of the window for the hardware to bolt through. You need to buy the window hardware for the bolt thru connection.

The 70 front window is about an inch longer, and correspondly the rear window is an inch shorter.
