No.... very different. There was a thread where someone went through pretty significant effort to get them to fit... you might try searching. I'm not sure what they are technically called. You might be better off trying to find someone cutting up a coupe and get them to cut those pieces off for you.

I supported mine with 6 jack stands... maybe 8. No other bracing. Just don't go trying to move it until you get the floor back in and you will be fine. Even then, it probably won't hurt anything, but no reason to risk it.
-
Me too... I kept trying all day!

Ideally, you want the sound coming from in front of you.... subwoofers don't matter as much. You can always get rid of the parking brake and install a custom center console that houses an e-brake from a late model Mustang.
We're going to turn your simple request into a huge project whether you want it or not! lol ;)

Sportroofs used a different style part than the coupes.

I think most of us just wish there could be something we could do to help... I certainly appreciate all your effort, also!

Reported. Haha, jk. ;)

I really like Simple Green for cleaning hard surfaces, but after using it on some seat foam.... never again. The smell just won't come out.

In the past, I've read they were possibly used just to keep the drums from falling off as the car made its way down the assembly line before the wheels and tires were put on. Could just be an urban myth, though.

Sounds like a great project. I would love to see your pics.

The mounting holes for the scoop had to be elongated towards the rearThe piece the scoops bolt to is just weakly spot welded on, so I drilled the welds out, and bolted my scoops in with the bracket loose. Once position and tightened down, I tacked the piece to the quarter again. Probably the easiest fix I've had to do on these new parts.

Do you have a manual or auto tranny? If you have an auto, it seems like I have seen custom panels that integrate speaker mounts under the fresh air vents. They take up some leg room, though.

Oh man, that is a major difference! I would not be happy at all with that part. I would probably go for full quarters, but I'm sure there is a decent price difference to consider.
Yes, Dave, that was me. I found a pair from a car someone was parting out on here. They are a little rusty but solid enough to use, I think. Much better condition than my originals. I think I asked Rick(?) at NPD about the pieces being sold separate from the drip rails and he told me they come from the supplier all as a set and cannot be separated. Maybe one day in the future that will change.

Do you have a pic? I used full quarters... they turned out really nice. The only problem I had is that the piece the quarter scoops bolt to were welded out of alignment.
-
My passenger side went in easier than the driver's side, but I think it had more to do with some repairs I had to make to the inner structure.
When I did mine, I replaced inner and outer wheel houses. I welded the halves together, then clamped them in place in the car. AFter that, I fit the quarter panel and tweaked the wheel house, then tacked it in. The I removed the quarter panel and finished welding in the wheel house. After that, I installed the quarter panel again and after much tweaking and clamping, I welded it in.
I did both sides by myself... in order to get the quarters positioned right, I had to push forward while pulling the panel back and forth to the side. It was not fun.

The sportroof risers are shorter than the coupe/vert risers.

Sounds similar to a problem I had with a car years ago. I added a phenolic spacer between the intake and carb. Problem solved.

Poorly adjusted proportioning valve? Would a master cylinder with too small/large bore cause something like this? Just brainstorming with odd ideas.
-
Very cool.... thanks for sharing!

Is the only difference the control valve? Can you use the same center link? What about steering box?Center link, pitman arm, and idler arm. Outer tierods differ between 69 and 70 so if you buy a used set, be sure you know which it is.
-
Do you have the pieces under the boomerang trim? Some are welded on, but others are attached with 3 screws, which is what I'm looking for.
cant seem to find this part?
