  1. soooo ... did a mock up on the tommyzee subframe connectors last night 10/28/14 to determine if the roll bar mount idea will work... and it looks like it will... the goal is to remove the plate the roll bar mount uses and replace it with 1/8" steel plate along with gussets welded to the subframe connectors.. this will tie the roll bar into the subframe, hopefully making a better mount strengthening the entire area and car overall.... contemplating making some door bars similar to the tigercage and welding into the front torque boxes... we shall see.. but for now... time to find some steel plate and fire up the plasma cutter and welder!! good times! once the welding is done, the subframe connectors along with the Vintage Air AC brackets are headed for powder coating! the pics are showing the tommyzee subframe connectors somewhat in place to make sure they would not interfere with the transmission mount and the cal-tracs... time to clean up underneath the car to get rid of some surface rust and coat it with some bed liner etc.

  10. WHOA.... wow.. i was running towards them... just sent them an email this morning to verify part numbers to replace my stock PDB MS with a Wilwood unit... well i want a quality unit... geez this is disheartening... I had planned on ordering the NAPA unit being that it is 51.00 vs the Wilwood 100.00 units... so i can get back on the road safely.

  12. master cylinder is going out.... well after @ 500-600 miles the master cylinder from O'riley auto parts seems to be going out... the brake pedal return is very very slow to return.. and eventually doesn't return.... the same reason why i took the first brake booster/master cylinder back to Advance Auto... and went with O'Riley... the Advance Auto unit was DOA upon installation.. never worked. The O'Riley unit has been working great... brakes have been amazing...! all that to say.. i just sent an email to Wilwood to verify a part number for a Wilwood master cylinder that will work with my stock brake booster... similar to Wilwood 260-9439-P any suggestions on a wilwood or similar unit.. let me know...

  16. I have the Vintage Venom GT500 front kit and fitment was great! i had to turn my new drum hubs due to them having extra casting but that was it. I did go with 70 forged spindles from Street or Track while i was changing out my factory 69 disc spindles. i have the Baer T4 kit from Gateway Classic Mustang.. was the most cost effective 13" rear kit i could find at the time. Both kits met my budget for 14" in the front and 13" in the back... that fit within 18" GT4 wheels.

  18. okay -- beautiful day today! Saturday 10/25/14 changed the oil over to Royal Purple, put some Sunoco 260GT 100 octane in.. took her out for a ride for a bit... coolant temps are good.. but it was only 82 today.. im sure ill have to install a bigger radiator before next summer when AC is completed etc. a few shots of the chin spoiler installed and the HUGE BOSS 429 racing hood scoop removed... have a painter lined up and waiting to pull the trigger on the maier hood... ordered some race-gas to try out... we shall see how it does...

  22. i spoke with comp cams around 2008 about my build plans and this is what they come up with, if you look at the lifter application note from the link: Ford Small Block 289-302-351Windsor; Retro-fit roller lifters for blocks originally equipped w/ a flat tappet cam key word being block- the cam link is a retrofit cam for blocks that originally came with out a hydraulic roller cam. so far so good, she made 520 on the dyno a few years ago, has great throttle response... and has no problem hitting the rev-limiter set at 6200. hopefully she will last...
