We used rubber side molding ,an aftermarket side trim we got at our local paint shop ,we glued it in the channel with E6000 ,staples held nicely

Pinned the rollers ,clamped it in a vice ad tried it out . Dented a piece of an old mustang hood and took it to the roller ,there is a trick to keeping it where you want it but it pushed the dent right out. I still have to bolt the roller pins in and i cant wait to try the real thing! I changed the lower roller to a more flat roller

I have one sort of drawn out ,probably change as i go . I made one wheel mount ,just needs to be welded together. I tried to get some 1 3/4 mild steel round tubing but looks like they had to order it ,should be here tomorrow sometime . I dont think it will take long to make ,but may be a bit to make both sides the same in the bender .

    Seen that movie ,it sucks!
Not set on depth yet but looks to be 24 inches ,the farther i go back with the turn buckle the more it takes to ad pressure to the wheels .

Still waiting on my metal ,probably be monday before it gets here.
I had a couple of 90* bends here ,they come in handy when making cages ,looks like it will be 11 inches to center on both sides ,i was figuring 10 inches so that should work out.  I had some tubing that is a snug slip inside fit . This will weld to the bottom of the roller mount and i will index them to work forward or side ways and they will pin on .
Just got a call from the metal shop ,my tubing is in so off i go ,may get it made this weekend !

Not sure if i like this or not but it should work . I had an old turn buckle for the adjuster ,it will double as a handle ,one side is reverse thread and the other is 1/2 inch threaded so i can use a lock nut to keep it tight . I drilled the eyelets at 3/4 so i can use a 3/4 pin so it can open up to go over things and then pin it back and adjust tight .just have to see if it works ,if not ,i have a nice big scrap metal pile it can go in .

I kind of drew up a pattern using harbor freight rollers ,if i can get some 1 3/4 tubing today i may play around with the bender and see what i can come up with .

I have never had a hood blow up ,but i always run hood pins ,my brother let a 69 hood blow clean off the car ,it went clear over the car and landed in the middle of the road ,he didnt have the hood pins on ! I have worked on many Mustangs that had the hood blow up or off and smash the front of the roof and rip out the hinge nuts taking them with the hood ,hood pins are one of the best safety features you can have!

I found both front inner fender aprons ,they need a couple of cracks fixed and someone drilled a few holes in one that will need plugged . Found a good set of headlights and stands . I got the front part of the frame rails boxed so soon as it stops raining here i will blast it and get it in epoxy .

I made part of the boxing plates for the rear of the frame ,there will be a short piece on the back side of the rear big brace ,but i have to get a brace first . I want to sand blast and epoxy prime inside the frame where the plates will cover the inside of the frame . It should be very strong once boxed . I have to hole saw some access holes for the bed bolts still .

I got this thing up on the rotisserie all by my self ....all buy my self ,dont wana be ,all by my self .. sorry ,80s flash back ! Any way it is the same length as a mustang so i didnt have to move the ends ,a mustang drive shaft is also the perfect length . Now i can have some fun boxing the front and rear of the rails !

Made a new end for the rear of the frame, made it out of square tube instead of c channel like the original  ,the old one had seen better days . I drilled all the holes including the bumper bracket on the end ,i have the bumper brackets here some where.

Trying to drill out those rivets in the cut up radiator brackets ,i broke off a drill bit! The metal is like drilling a lead steel mix and it grabs drill bits ,kind of like stainless steel ! After a few good cuss words ...did i say a few ? I got the last rivet out with a diamond grinder bit

I thought i had another rear leaf spring bracket but i guess i dont ! This one is toast ,all busted up . I do have another frame but it has tons of crap stacked on it ,if i cant find another one i will have to pull that one out .
Front radiator brackets fit right in place so that is done . Now to get it on the rotisserie ,it weighs about 200 pounds and i have already flipped it about 5 times ,thats more than an old fat man can handle!

This 35 truck bed is a deal at 2,200.,it is un assembled but i have built at least 4 so it no problem ,it is every piece to build a complete bed and for the same price they will ad the wood floor and stainless trim . I get a little farther along and i will order one ,this is from Mack Products and they are just like the original .

I drilled the bumper bracket hole and the radiator mounting hole up top and shot a bit of primer on it to keep it from rusting right now .
