69Stanger408 82 Report post Posted April 3, 2020 Seen lots of questions regarding the brake line to header proximity, but what about muffler proximity? Of course the brake line clamp is under the muffler!! Evidently the shop that installed the exhaust saw no issue. Thoughts??
LoneWolf2U 136 Report post Posted April 3, 2020 I see a few things I do not like, too close to brake line and floor for heat and it rattling the floorboard. Looks like they were confined to space to keep it raised but some for thought in placement would have been nice. maybe relocate the line before installing the muffler. Not how I would have done it. aslanefe 333 Report post Posted April 3, 2020 3 hours ago, 69Stanger408 said: Not really helpful If you run the brake line inside the tunnel like Ford did when they built the car, it will be away from the exhaust and there won't be any issues. If you keep the line like you have now, your exhaust may boil your brake fluid. Only way to know for sure is to measure the temperature of the line when the exhaust is hot to see if the temperature gets to your brake fluid's boiling temp or not. 2 RPM and JayEstes reacted to this
