JoelK 11 Report post Posted March 28, 2020 A few months back I made the mistake of accidentally parking my black notch back next to a sprinkler on a sunny day. Now the hood has water spots that won’t come out with a normal wash & dry. Has anyone had this problem and is there an easy solution? I’m reading several forums that recommend a 1:1 mix of vinegar and distilled water followed by a thorough wash & wax. I’m hesitant to put vinegar on a paint job that is less than a year old. Any thoughts or recommendations?

mustangstofear 608 Report post Posted March 28, 2020 5,000 grit on a DA, then polish it.
nymustang1969 22 Report post Posted March 28, 2020 I try to use the least aggressive method first. I would try a clay bar. Amazing how it can take trash out of paint. 1 cavboy78 reacted to this
Ridge Runner 1,153 Report post Posted March 28, 2020 This is usually etched into the paint ,if not to deep do as Rich said and cut and polish with ultra fine grit
JayEstes 173 Report post Posted March 31, 2020 I would just try polishing compound on the local area first as Ridge suggests. Little elbow grease oughta get that out.
