I run Shell 93 octane in the 'vert and always keep the tank full over the winter - I think I paid over $50 to fill it up last fall. I need to check what it's selling for today. In California, I have paid over $4/gal, so we've got some of that ridiculousness here in the US. All that extra cost just goes to the government - the fuel itself is really inexpensive.
