Thanks, that's a possibility though I'd have to buy a rectangular pair.

This is what I was thinking about mounting in the airdam. 4" diameter

I also have these on hand, 3.25 diameter.

Final shape achieved & primed. I'll wet sand the entire thing next with 320 grit and re-prime. Once I get everything smooth I'll spray with some KBS rust seal and SEP. Hopefully that will add a layer of chip protection to the fiberglass.

Thanks Bob! Don't think I'll be making another anytime soon. If I had more space than my tiny garage it wouldn't take so long to do but that's my own fault. I was concerned in the beginning it wouldn't look right but seeing it on the car at this stage (not quite done yet) confirms to me it blends well with the car's styling.Too many times in this hobby people tend to add trendy features to a car that doesn't blend well with it's styling. IE,  Elanor features don't work with every year of mustang.

Started back on wet sanding the lower nose. First time this year I've been able to do anything on the car. Had minor surgery back in March, still recovering but able to do more now. Also tied up with having the kitchen completely remodeled, plumbing reworked under the slab, electrical rework, new cabinetry, the works. There probably won't be much progress on the car for a while on anything that will take money to accomplish. I will continue on the things that I can though.

Thanks but not back surgery, it was actually bladder & prostate. My urologist said if I let it go I would be stuck with a catheter the rest of my life. You don't realize what muscles help with bladder control and what happens when you strain too much and don't have the control you once had. It's a slow road to get that control back but its coming back a little at a time.  Sorry if that's TMI for any of you.

Certainly not tmi, at least for us older guys. I've got a couple of coffee/ lunch groups of retired coppers. Back in the day we used to talk about girls and catching bad guys. Now we talk about medical issues and grandkids.

Get well brother.

Wet sanded with 320 grit & primed. Will wet sand this with 400 grit. If its smooth and flawless I'll shoot it with POR15 or KBS rust seal to give the fiberglass some additional protection from chips then final prime.

Have been working on making a new accelerator pedal assembly. I didn't see an easy way to clean and modify the oem piece to work with the replacement generic cable so I went down that rabbit hole and set about creating a custom pedal. I still need to put a jog in the pedal arm and trim the cable end before welding things together. Also want to add a couple of gussets to the clevis.

Update:

Working on the R quarter skin, attached with screws at the moment. Need to do some more trimming and fitting. No pics.

Also working on the rh dash panel. Was trying to figure where I wanted to put my clock.

Clock2.thumb.jpg.e048bd26580fbb3dfd200ba11f32bea5.jpg

I figured to add a small pod on the right side but it escalated to a symmetrical pod spanning the rh panel.

Primered

Clock to go on right side angled face, visible to driver. Might add a usb charge port on left angled face and a courtesy light on the bottom. Also adding 71 dash emblem on flat and offset to the right. Will probably rivet the pod to the panel when done.

A friend at work bead blasted my headlight buckets for me, he's currently doing my headlight extensions. I found I needed to increase the hole on the backside by almost 3/8 inch to clear the back of the bulb housing.

I also had to trim 3 tabs off the bulb housings, they were larger and didn't match the buckets. Touched up the backside of the bulb housings where I cut off the tabs with POR15 (the backside is metal).

Coated the inside surface of the headlight buckets with POR15. Have to coat the backside then paint. Thinking of coating the rim of each bucket with a couple coats of spray rubber. I'm thinking it might prevent any rubbing of the headlight housing when mounted.

I don't have any pics to post but I had to create some spacing on the backside of the bulb housings to replace what I cut off and so the bulbs sit right. I made spacers from PVC pipe, attached them to the bulb housings with JB Weld, primed with SEP then sprayed the area with spray-on rubber. They're solidly attached and not going anywhere. The headlight bowls were primed with SEP after completely coated with POR15 then top coated with KBS satin chassis black and the rims were sprayed with the spray-on rubber.
