spogshd 4 Report post Posted January 16, 2020 If I had a super cobra jet R code without the original engine, would this just be worth the same as a mach 1 with a 428 none original engine or is there something special about the scj body.
barnett468 418 Report post Posted January 16, 2020 I don't understand your question, however, an scj mustang is worth much more than a standard cj mustang if all else is the same.

Hux 45 Report post Posted January 17, 2020 It’s a bit like asking how long is a piece of string. So if you built the SCJ to the same standard as the CJ then yes the SCJ would be worth more. If you date code correct built a replacement SCJ engine it would be worth more. A SCJ body without an engine is not worth as much as a CJ with a non orig 428 in it. Or are you asking whether the SCJ body is different to the CJ body? Driveline and the VIN plate I think is the major difference with an external oil cooler for the engine from memory but I am sure there are some folks here with much better knowledge of whether there are subtle differences. Vicfreg 773 Report post Posted January 24, 2020 To answer your question, the body is exactly the same for the CJ and SCJ. I think there is probably an incremental increase in price for a SCJ, but there are many other factors that come into play. The bottom line is that if you have an original CJ or SCJ car, consider yourself lucky. Preserve it, love it, and drive the shit out of it....
