wilmotriverside 0 Report post Posted December 12, 2019 I have a Mallory Promaster coil (29440) hooked up to a MSD Pro Billet Ready to run distributor (8352) on my 408. Do I need to run a Ballast Resister to the Coil + terminal? I believe you do if you have a points style system but I do not therefore I should be able to eliminate it. Will the Coil burn out if I eliminate it? Thanks in advance!
Vicfreg 771 Report post Posted December 12, 2019 No, don't use a ballast resistor, or any original "resistor" wire. It needs the full 12 volts. See attached. frm33565_ready_to_run_add.pdf
