69RavenConv 286 Report post Posted November 6, 2019 With a little help from Kevin Marti, I marked up your photo. The numbers you asked about (K 401 J) are the "engine code", surrounded by a prefix and suffix. This code matched the build sheet. It identified things like 2V or 4V, auto or manual (because the carb and distributor would be different), and so on. We know what the prefix and suffix mean but unfortunately nobody knows exactly what the numerical code means any more. "401" was obviously some flavor of the 428 power plant.
