Germany is super expensive for getting parts over here. If you build a stroker, you need good aftermarket heads, and a roller cam and roller lifters. As mentioned, the crank, rods, and pistons are needed, so unless you have the other parts mentioned, you will need them also. RPM 1,190 Report post Posted October 21, 2019 Back circa Y2K I reused the rods on my 393. Polished and shot peened the beams, and bushed them for floating pistons. Did some math with the 5.95" rods to get pistons with the correct pin height. Some guys use 302 pistons, but I used KB hypers. Can't remember when my brother did his, but the snout needs turned down for the balancer to fit. 393 was the biggest crack offered when he built his, And he wanted to go bigger.
