mustangstofear 608 Report post Posted May 2, 2020 Once he gets the white wheels and a white top on, it might be OK. I'm painting mine the same blue as my 65.
mustangstofear 608 Report post Posted May 6, 2020 Couple of shots outside. I'm still not crazy about the color, but it's what the customer wanted.
Machspeed 219 Report post Posted May 7, 2020 How do you maintain enthusiasm for a project when you just dislike and disagree with everything the customer wants you to do? Not saying this is the case here, but it does lead me to the question.
mustangstofear 608 Report post Posted May 7, 2020 Usually I can recommend a different direction and they will go with it. He asked me a couple of times about the color, and I said Look at something newer. But in the end it's about making the customer happy. 1 Machspeed reacted to this

Machspeed 219 Report post Posted May 7, 2020 Rich, some of these newer colors are kack too....lol. I mean, "old man tan" is back. Some funky green, battleship looking grey, stuff I would never even consider ordering on any automobile I would want. To each his own, I suppose. mustangstofear 608 Report post Posted May 7, 2020 Seems like every manufacturer has that Grey, not a big fan of it either.
mustangstofear 608 Report post Posted May 7, 2020 Here's a customer that went with the Grey on his build. He's using the exact same body parts as my 65 fastback

gryngear 1 Report post Posted May 8, 2020 Not a fan of that shade of green for the base coat. Feels like a mismatch. It doesn't complement with the body.
mustangstofear 608 Report post Posted May 8, 2020 ICON is doing a lot of the older colors and even adding some patina to them. Once he gets it all painted and does the white wheels and roof, it might look better.
mustangstofear 608 Report post Posted May 9, 2020 We got our cool duals figured out. These will work on the stock frames, and the 2 inch wider frames we will be making
