Restoring a Rim-Blow Sterring Wheel

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

I am looking at refinishing my steering wheel. It is in reasonable condition with no cracks so I am looking at paint options. Interested in what others have done including brands and colours.

Thanks,

Hi Mal.

Are you wanting to do it yourself or send it out. The guy in NZ is meant to be one of the best rim blow wheel restorers from what I've heard.

Hi mate,

I have spoken to that guy and heard he does great work. As I only need the paint part of the resto, I want to do it myself. Thanks

And just in case you haven't noticed, your steering wheel is on the wrong side!

It's on the right side when I go through the McDonalds drive through. Makes it all worth while.

Thanks for that. I follow this page on Facebook and ordered the paints he used. I was amazed they are available in Australia. Now I just need to make the time to do it.
