Mvh0477 46 Report post Posted May 29, 2019 I just had 17x8 wheels put on my car and looking for suggestions on lowering the rear end. rear leaf springs, shocks etc are all stock. does anyone have pictures of suggested leaf springs shocks etc for me to lower the rear end some? i'm wanting to drive it as a road trip type car so i want the rear end to be pretty sturdy not bottoming out when i have passengers. excuse the blue tape the shop is installing the glass and door weatherstripping. Mike65 475 Report post Posted May 30, 2019 On my 69 Coupe I am running 14" GT wheels & have 4.5 mid eye rear leaf springs that I purchased from Opentracker Racing & here is a pic of how it sits now. Here is a link to the rear leaf springs I am using. https://opentrackerracing.com/product/4-5-mid-eye-leaf-spring-1964-1973/ The measurement from the center of the rear wheel opening to the garage floor is 27" with out the engine & trans in the car.
