Carpet choices?

It looks like ACC sells a carpet kit for the 69 Mach I for $378 and Scott Drake has one for $220. Anyone have experience with either? I don't mind saving $158 but not if the product is inferior. Any other suggestions? Car interior is completely apart.

The acc carpet is barely tolerable, don't know about the drake carpet but if you call them they will tell you who makes it.

I have ACC carpet, it looks really nice when it is installed and fitted well but if you hold it up to the sunlight you can see straight through it !!

Try everything to salvage the original carpet and I mean everything.

You will be dissapointed with any aftermarket brand.

ACC has several grades of carpet, from repo of the original to the type used in the modern cars.

the best molded mustang acc carpet is nothing more than their standard crap molded carpet with a heavier backing.

the best carpet was made by distinctive industries but they stopped making it but some small mustang shops may have some left in stock.

I am not going to be of much help here but...  I got a carpet for my 69 fastback about 10 years ago.  Probably from Mustangs unlimited, can't find the receipt, and not Drake.  I selected this carpet because it had the sewn (cloth thread) vinyl foot pads and not glued or molded into place.  Carpet also had the heavy jute backing.  Brian
