Power Window Options

Looking at converting to power windows, heard about the glue in versus bolt in glass options. I need to get new glass all the way around so now is the time. What product did ya'll use for the power unit?

Glue has come a long way in the last 50 years, so don't be afraid to use it.   I'd use whatever style is currently in car. No need to buy more stuff than you need to. 

I used a Spal conversion kit, and put the switches in the center console.

I used the Spal kit in my 75 Bronco. Works great & easy to install. Just might have to try it in my Mustang.

Are you only considering the door windows?  The back windows in a coupe or vert are a whole different issue.

You can order new door panels without the window crank hole.....in case you want to put the window switches in your center console.

How does the kits like Spal that RPM posted above fit on the rear windows of coupe and vert? Anybody used them on the rears?

I have not installed it yet, but I am planning to use this kit in my 70 Mach 1. The kit uses commonly available modern GM window motors. They also sell a quarter window kit.

I have no doubt, many people report they like their Nu-Relics just fine. However "modern" GM window motor caught my eye and tickled me. That motor design GM started using way back in 1982.  37 years ago, modern indeed.  :)  No worries about the actual design, though. They are very robust and reliable motors. Very much more durable (and more compact) than the Ford motors of the same era.
