rmarks 20 Report post Posted August 22, 2019 Nice. What is attached to the wood panel in the trunk?
mustangstofear 608 Report post Posted August 22, 2019 Screws attached to the body. We always hide the amp and all wiring on the backside
mustangstofear 608 Report post Posted August 23, 2019 The owner dropped off the new tires and wheels
JET 445 43 Report post Posted August 23, 2019 They will look great with the dark paint, I'm glad they did not go with those awful black wheels.

mustangstofear 608 Report post Posted August 29, 2019 Mounted and balanced the tires and wheels this morning. We're having the same problem with the Wildwood cap sticking out to far as we did on Craig's car. Boze had a taller cap sl that solved the problem, not sure if American Racing makes a taller one. 1 Caseyrhe reacted to this
mustangstofear 608 Report post Posted August 29, 2019 This isn't the Cougar, but a 67 the same color. Customer wanted yellow calipers to match his yellow pin stripe. We also matched the grey stripe to his Forgeline wheels. 2 Grabber70Mach and Caseyrhe reacted to this
mustangstofear 608 Report post Posted September 5, 2019 Just got the rear seat in . Had his original seat done to match our front buckets. I was a little surprised when they charged a 1000.00 just for the rear. I can buy original seat skins for 145.00 :(
JET 445 43 Report post Posted September 6, 2019 Might be expensive but it looks like they have done a very nice job.
mustangstofear 608 Report post Posted September 7, 2019 I'm not complaining about the quality of the work, because they did a beautiful job. I was just shocked and the price compared to stock seat skins. Since they were missing a lotof the factory A/C parts we ordered a Vintage Air direct fit. We always use Old Air but they didn't make a unit to fit.
mustangstofear 608 Report post Posted September 9, 2019 Starting to install our brake system. Sure makes it easier having all pre-bent lines ready to go :)
mustangstofear 608 Report post Posted September 9, 2019 not a lot available interior wise for the Cougar. The customer did find something from MP Products. I personally think the aluminum in the door panels look nasty. 1 mwye0627 reacted to this
Midlife 814 Report post Posted September 10, 2019 I don't like that aluminum door panel one bit. That car needs to be wired about now... 1 Grabber70Mach reacted to this
mustangstofear 608 Report post Posted September 10, 2019 I think we decided to just order a new Mustang harness from AAW. West Coast will buy the harness we sent out to them.
mustangstofear 608 Report post Posted September 13, 2019 After looking at the repair job on the original harness from West Coast Cougar, we decided to go with our usual AAW. The original harness was very brittle.

I'm in agreement regarding that door panel...sheez, that's, that's....well, it's just bad. When's the New Zealander's car shipping out, figured it be gone by now? mustangstofear 608 Report post Posted October 20, 2019 We have to change out a few suspension bolts to meet their rigid safety standards. Everything else passed with flying colors. We're fortunate in this country to be able to build what we want without a bunch of restrictions.
mustangstofear 608 Report post Posted October 21, 2019 The customer furnished us with the overhead console, but it didn't have a switch to work the lights. We made our normal map light switch work just fine. 1 Grabber70Mach reacted to this
bryonbush 85 Report post Posted October 22, 2019 Could you fill me in with the ac line routing. I'm assuming there will be a coyote In there but have you done something similar with a 351w? I want to do something like that with my 69 by hiding the lines.
mustangstofear 608 Report post Posted October 22, 2019 Craig's 69 has a 351 also, check out his build thread.
