Any Tricks to Install Roof Drip Rail Molding, and Connect to Boomerang Mldg?

 I've got no idea what i did with the oem moldings twenty years ago, so I bought a set of new moldings. And I'd really hate to bend them installing them wrong. I am familiar with the thread on removing it with that cool tool, but have no info on the install. So what's the trick fellas?

EDIT:

After searching my mostly useless assembly manual, I have more questions than before. How in the world are the drip rail molding and boomerang molding connected? The book is of no help to me. Is this connection pretty critical or can the two moldings be off a bit and hidden by the angled connector?

Use the RidgeRunner (TM) tool to both remove and install, IIRC.

I couldnt find that post ,pictures may not be there anyway ,i will see if i can find the instal tool i made ,it was very simple

Very simple,  I just  installed  them on Craig's  car. Just center  it over the the drip rail and the boomerang and  roll it in.

Don't even think about  using  any  kind of  tool since it's  angled.

Use a screw to secure it, not a rivet

That joint has to be put on by hand ,it just slips over the quarter window trim and the drip rail ,dont even use a rubber hammer because that will dent it also .

The tool i made for installing tbe roof rail trim worked great but i must have sent it to someone ,i get some time i will make a few ,they were easy to make

Made up a quicky instal tool ,just has masking tape on the back but fuzzy velcro would work best to keep away scratches ,but this works great . Still have a removal tool

Ok, now for the $64,000 question: does the drip molding/ elbow connector/ dog leg - boomerang molding need to be installed before the quarter glass? It looks to me the connector elbow needs to be mounted under the glass molding. Without markings, how do I tell which elbow connector is left and right?

It has to go under the rubber chanel ,if i remember right it goes in before the window

You can tell by the angle. It's  kinda like  the  difference between  your  left and right  shoes,  you just have to look at them :)

In absolute agreement here in regards to "being the best". I used his plans in building my rotisserie and I thank him every time I load the rotisserie mounted car onto a trailer for transportation. It's secure and it ain't tipping over. Thank you, Jimmy!!!
