I have an easy 1970 351C (m-code) engine question

Did a stock 1970 351C (m-code) engine have a carb spacer or some kind of egr plate, or was the carb mounted directly on the intake manifold?

The carb on my 1970 Cougar XR7 with 351C is mounted directly on the intake manifold; no egr plate.

The factory carbs I believe did not use any plate. Mounted direct. If you use a different carb you would need to mount a plate I believe. Just things I 

picked up since I bought a 70 mach 1.
