Machspeed 219 Report post Posted March 3, 2019 Car will be going to media blaster in a couple weeks. Last week, my son and I spent the day scraping the factory sealer and undercoating. Two Questions: 1. What product would you use for seam sealer? I've been reading, just want opinions here. 2. While cleaning up the engine compartment and other places I found this white putty like stuff that the factory used to fill large voids between panels. What is this stuff? See photo. I use 3M tan seam sealer ,it looks just like the factory sealer and works very well on bare metal or primer,i use it on bare metal then epoxy prime everything Quote Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

I forgot that the shop that did my body work and paint used the 3M sausage packs. I had to remove some when I did the inner rockers, and boy does that stuff have some adhesion to it.
