69 front valance same as 1970?

I’m got a replacement one on my car now. Are they the same year to year?

Nope. '69s got marker lights in them. '70 marker lights is in the fender.

Okay I see that. I asked because mine doesn’t follow the lines of the front headlight buckets - looks mismatched. I’m guessing that just is what it is.

I don't think they are flush. There's a gap that is covered by the bumper. They need to match at the wheel arch.

This is a repro valance. The OEMs fit better.

Towards the front, the light bucket sticks out on my 69 with original valance and fenders.

Yes, my originals are like fvike's photo.

The only place the valance follows is where it meets the fender ,it does not match up to the headlight bucket ,guess ford figured the bumper will hide it

I  never  could  figure  why Ford did that.

It kind of looks like it was a last minute thing ,but the bumper covers it well
