A mouse must have taken his prized small acorn up into the recesses of my hood for a private dinner so every time I open the  hood i hear the acorn roll down to the back, and when i close the hood it rolls back to the front and what is really frustrating is that I know there is nothing I can do about it to get it out.!

My Expedition hood is full of little hard seeds ,no way to get them out .

My CJ had acorns inside the rockers ,never found an opening big enough for them to fit in ,this rat must be a magician

Buy a mouse, train the mouse, and then send him in to finish the job.

Try a hose at the front of the hood, with the hood all the way up.  Should eventually flush the acorn out through the big holes in the hood near the firewall.

From VIc's idea, maybe a monster shop vac?   thy with the hood up and flat.  Flat will require removing it. 

Or maybe that expanding foam sealant. Fill all the holes with it?  

Or go have a beer and be thankful you have such simple problems!

Even better...acorns are flammable.  Pour gas on the hood, burn the acorn out and reinstall the hood.  I know, I'm a genius.

Seriously though, that sounds super annoying and would drive me up a wall.

I bet the shop vac would get it if you taped over all the holes.

Expanding on that idea, open a beer.  Pour 1/2 of beer in hole in top of hood.  Observe for acorn to be "passed".  Drink the other 1/2 beer.  Repeat as necessary.
