Midlife 814 Report post Posted September 23, 2018 On another forum, someone is wanting to drop a flat-head Ford into a 73...just another idea to throw out there.
Cantedvalve 128 Report post Posted September 24, 2018 Ive got a Flathead that I can part with... of course it’s locked up from a coolant leak... I like 351C engines. Stock castings build plenty of power.

A clevor would be something nice and different. 363 with some Scott Cook 4V’s Would be different

Cantedvalve 128 Report post Posted September 24, 2018 I’ve got 3 spare blocks in the garage. I’m definitely biased.
JamieK 1 Report post Posted October 6, 2018 Can't go wrong with the diesel suggestion :) If you want to keep it (relatively) simple a 408 stroker with decent heads (e.g. AFR ) and cam will get you 500+ hp and is made to fit. There are plenty of recipes on the interwebs. If you want to be different you can always get freaky with it later (EFI, blower, turbos, etc).
