New battery powered clocks for 1967-68 or 1969-70 Mustangs

Recommended Posts

Up for sale is a battery powered quartz clock for your 1969-70 Mach 1 or Grande or a standard battery powered instrument cluster clock for your 1967-68.  No new cluster holes or drilling required.  Simply unscrew your current empty gauge face or non-working clock, screw in the new clock using the same screws in the same holes, and you're done!

Per the photos, the hour and minute hands are normally orange and the second hand white for the 1969-70 clock and orange and yellow for the 1967-68 clock, but these can be also customized to red, green or blue in any combination!  Just let me know via DM after your purchase.  If you do not specify, you will receive the standard colors.

SPECIAL PRICES FOR 1969STANG.COM USERS

Clock for 1969-70 Mach 1 or Grande: $80

Clock for 1967-68: $40

NOTES:

Please make sure that this clock fits your car -- the 1967-68 face is roughly 2.5 inches in diameter and the 1969-70 face is roughly 5 inches in diameter.  If you have questions, please ask before purchasing.

To keep costs down, this clock’s time does not adjust from the front of the cluster.  You must adjust the time from the back of the cluster. You don’t need to unplug anything, as you can unscrew the gauge cluster for the 1967-68 or the glove compartment interior for the 1969-70 and reach your hand into the dash and adjust the time dial.  With a few minutes of practice, it will take no longer to update the time on this clock than it does for any other non-digital clock you own that needs to be updated.

Also to keep costs down, this unit does not plug into the wiring harness (which would add $10-20 to the cost.)  Instead, it is powered by one AA battery, which is located in the unit behind the face.  The battery must be replaced when it is dead -- I would expect this to happen less than once every year.  Of course, you can do this at the same time you decide to change the time, so you can unscrew the cluster only once.

No, it’s not 100% convenient, but these are the lowest priced clocks on the market by far and they look identical to the clocks originally installed.  Feel free to contact me if you have any questions.
