Alan_Mac 48 Report post Posted March 21, 2018 The latch on the front bucket seats. Which way did it point from the factory? Sorry I wasn't clear.
69ShelbyGT350H 61 Report post Posted March 21, 2018 1969 Deluxe seat Majority of 1970 deluxe seats I have seen are vertical. Might have to check over at concoursmustang.com for a proper answer.
stangs-R-me 120 Report post Posted March 23, 2018 A picture in the Mustang Recognition Guide from 1981 shows the lever pointing forward but slightly UP (I.E. like 10:00 & 2:00 positions). A lot of pictures in this book were from Ford archives, rather than current so a good chance this is correct. Doug
fvike 173 Report post Posted March 23, 2018 They point up and slightly to the rear in the 1969 Mustang Sales Brochure. http://mustangattitude.com/cgi-bin/brochuredisplay.cgi?year=1969&manuf=Ford&model=Mustang&smod=&page=6&scan=6 Edit: Didn't realize the question was about '70 Mustangs. But yea, Like stangs-R-me says 2o'clock in the 1970 Sales Borchure. http://mustangattitude.com/cgi-bin/brochuredisplay.cgi?year=1970&manuf=Ford&model=Mustang&smod=&page=2&scan=
Mike65 475 Report post Posted March 23, 2018 The ones on the 70 Bucket seats in my Coupe are pointing between a 2:00 - 3:00 position but these seats were recovered so they could have possibly been put on in the wrong spot.

I vaguely remember this position. Thanks to everyone for the input. Alan
