70 sear back latch

Recommended Posts

A picture in the Mustang Recognition Guide from 1981 shows the lever pointing forward but slightly UP (I.E. like 10:00 & 2:00 positions).   A lot of pictures in this book were from Ford archives, rather than current so a good chance this is correct.

They point up and slightly to the rear in the 1969 Mustang Sales Brochure.

Edit: Didn't realize the question was about '70 Mustangs. But yea, Like stangs-R-me says 2o'clock in the 1970 Sales Borchure.

The ones on the 70 Bucket seats in my Coupe are pointing between a 2:00 - 3:00 position but these seats were recovered so they could have possibly been put on in the wrong spot.

I will point them at 2:00 like the 70 brochure.  I vaguely remember this position.  Thanks to everyone for the input.  Alan
