FORGALS 0 Report post Posted March 19, 2018 Have a 1969 GT Mustang convertible, I need to know what the top metal strip of the windshield is finished in, chrome plated or painted. It is where the convertible top meets the front windshield frame. Anybody have a picture of this.
aslanefe 333 Report post Posted March 19, 2018 That part on my 70 vert looks like it is polished stainless like other trim around the windshield.
FORGALS 0 Report post Posted March 19, 2018 Thank you, the shop where I am having the car redone painted it a gray color
Vicfreg 771 Report post Posted March 19, 2018 Stainless steel on my '70. I assume you are talking about the one that is on the outside of the car. The one on the inside of the car that mates up with the sun visors is chrome plated
69RavenConv 286 Report post Posted March 19, 2018 Ditto for my '69 - stainless on the top and chrome along the visors. And welcome to the forum, FORGALS!

69RavenConv 286 Report post Posted March 21, 2018 I snapped some crappy cell phone photos tonight. I'm glad because it reminded me that my interior trim is not chrome, it's sheet steel that I painted an aluminum gray color to mask the pitting. Anyway, here you go...
