jgkurz 52 Report post Posted February 6, 2018 Hi folks, I am prepping my car for paint and have some questions about the the seal channel on the A pillar. Do any of you know what this part is called? If I mess it up are they available from NPD or CJ Pony or used only? Mine is glued and screwed to the body. Is that expected or is it normally just screwed? Ridge Runner 1,154 Report post Posted February 6, 2018 Glued and screwed ,remove the screws and run a putty knife between it and the body and it will come off
RPM 1,256 Report post Posted February 6, 2018 And be careful that you don't bend them as they are not reproduced.

aslanefe 348 Report post Posted February 6, 2018 Is it glue or double sided tape under the weatherstrip channel?
Vicfreg 800 Report post Posted February 6, 2018 Be careful.....these are hard to find. I think on mine it was some kind of adhesive, I don't remember. But the trim is really easy to bend.

ralt962 11 Report post Posted March 10, 2018 I was able to buy one from NPD. I had one is pretty good shape. the other was a mess. I was lucky to find one. They are glued with a weather strip adhesive. I reinstalled mine the same way after a complete cleaning and polishing. Watch the sequence of assembly around the quarter window.
