jerrywmalcolm 21 Report post Posted January 18, 2018 i have a 69 mach 1, auto, this is only a question, i will probly install a new safety switch, but, i've read diff things about not using one, and by passing the safety switrch since theres only 2 wires going from the switch can u just connect the 2 wires coming from the firrewall letting u start in any trans handle position?, have heard about people doing it and starting car in dr or rev etc, any thoughts out there?, thanks jerry
Wildpat 0 Report post Posted January 18, 2018 All right, it is pretty easy to bypass. But why would you do it, if I may ask? It is a safety feature, and not that bad to change depending on your tranny. Switch for FMX are located at the shifter while other transmissions have it at the transmission housing.
