Phils69 27 Report post Posted November 5, 2017 Hey Guys, Its been a while since I've posted. I'm trying to get my butt in gear and move forward with my car. I am planning on installing a new steering wheel on my car which I have already bought. My turn signal still works but it has to be held in one direction to stay engaged. I figured while I have the wheel pulled it would be a good time to replace the switch assembly. I am wanting to see if I can get some recommendations on a good replacement source for this. Thanks. 69RavenConv 286 Report post Posted November 5, 2017 As far as I know, there are two on the market, Scott Drake and Shee-mar. Scott Drake gets mixed reviews, I don't know anything about the Shee-Mar. My first Scott Drake failed after only one year; the second one is still working. http://www.drakeautomotivegroup.com/Default.aspx?wid=141 http://sheemar.com/
Midlife 814 Report post Posted November 6, 2017 My advice whenever you get a new turn signal switch, is to put a piece of black electrical tape on the back side covering the rivets. The rivets can touch the steering column under certain circumstances and that shorts out the whole TS switch. It's good insurance and costs nothing. 2 69RavenConv and ralt962 reacted to this
