Rust remover

What rust remover does everyone use. I might have seen it posted here before.

There is an organic one that seems to work but cannot remember it's name, (getting older)

You can dilute industrial-based molasses, and soak the rusty part in it for a day or so, then wash off.  It's used in your part of the world quite a bit; Google may be your friend.

Evapo-rust is biodegradable, non-toxic, non-flammable and non-corrosive. I used it recently and it does a great job. You just need to take your part out after 24 hours or a black film will develop.

+1 on evaporust. Great on small parts. It is magic as far as I'm concerned. I took a part that was rusty and scaley.....after soaking for 24hrs, it was clean as a whistle...i mean the surface looked brand new. No pit marks either. I'm not sure what material causes rust scale but on most parts there is no evidence of lost material.

what are you trying to remoce rust from.

 

you can mix 6 oz's of oxalic acid powder per 1 gallon of water and it will remove all the rust you need in 3 days or less.

Supercheap stock Evaporust. Not cheap but works very well.

oxalic acid works 10 times better and it costs around 10 times less.

I use Evaporust, oxolic acid, and electrolysis 

evaporust for things I am more concerned about the surface finish of like a machines part or a tool.

oxolic acid for general use on small parts

electolisis for heavier rust

I've had good luck with white vinegar. Cheap too.
