bigmal 225 Report post Posted July 22, 2017 Hi Guys, Giving my 351C 4V a bit of a tidy up and notice it has a one piece metal gasket that covers the valley. The new kit comes with two individual gaskets and no cover for the valley. Is the cover needed? Should I be buying a better one piece gasket with cover or are the two individual gaskets OK? Midlife 814 Report post Posted July 22, 2017 Those intake ports on the heads are huge!!! The valley pan is also known as a Turkey pan, and is used to keep oil from going where it shouldn't go, but it is not absolutely required. Lots of folks run without the pan. 1 bigmal reacted to this
Brian Conway 264 Report post Posted July 22, 2017 Not familiar with the 351 and have never seen a gasket like that. So...went to the RockAuto site and looked it up. I think you should go with the original set up and they sell it for $12.90 US$. Part # MS 15815 1 bigmal reacted to this
