Thanks guys for the pics & info. Looking from the front of the car I mounted the hydraulic clutch system fluid reservoir on a L bracket to the flange of where the cowl & the firewall are spot welded together over the r/s of the power brake booster near the hood hinge.

Hi everyone - I'm in the process of restoring my '69 Mach 1. It has a 351W with a 3-speed manual transmission. Can you please recommend a hydraulic clutch system? Any help would be appreciated.

Peter, here is the system I installed in my 69 Coupe. http://transmission.moderndriveline.com/speed/pc/1969-70-Mustang-Cougar-Hydraulic-Clutch-Master-Kit-LF-Series-Type-3-25p520.htm

What trans are you going to be using?.

Peter, make sure you also replace the bushing in the pedal hanger with a roller bearing for the clutch pedal.  This link will show you how to do it.  http://www.mustangsteve.com/clutchbearings.html

Here is a link to the kit I used. http://www.cjponyparts.com/roller-bearing-clutch-and-brake-pedal-support-bushing-kit-1965-1970/p/HW1015/
