Thin Lizzy 37 Report post Posted April 19, 2017 Hi All, Below are a few pics of my new 69 M code I collected today. Just been serviced and they couldn't find anything wrong with it so just fresh oil and oil filter. The paint is flat and faded in areas, especially the doors (from California sun) and there are various stone chips on it. Still no idea where to get black jade paint from! Goes like stink though and much better than my old 72 302 vert.
Dave R. 85 Report post Posted April 19, 2017 Sweet looking ride. Did you find a car that spent most of it's life in California and is rust free? And yes, they do go like stink. Good luck. Dave R.

Mach1 Driver 560 Report post Posted April 20, 2017 Nice, looks like mine except I have red stripes. What engine/trans do you have in your little beast?
Thin Lizzy 37 Report post Posted April 20, 2017 It's got a 351 Windsor 4 barrel under the hood with an FMX trans. It's had an Edelbrock carb and a Flowmaster fitted too.
Mach1 Driver 560 Report post Posted April 20, 2017 Nice, mine only has a 2V. It looks to be in good shape. How long does a car like that last out in the elements in the UK?

Thin Lizzy 37 Report post Posted April 21, 2017 Does anyone know how much these go for in the States now? I've heard price have started to rise. 8 hours ago, Mach1 Driver said: How long does a car like that last out in the elements in the UK? Not long. But mine's in a heated and insulted garage and it's not going out in the rain, so hopefully a long time.

They made a lot of Mach1s with the 351w and FMX so maybe in the 20s for a nice example, but I don't really track the prices. It cost me around $3800 brand new. An authentic big block can bring big money on Barrett Jackson. Whatdaya think guys dollar wi$e?
Thin Lizzy 37 Report post Posted April 21, 2017 Wow, you bought your car brand new?! That's amazing dedication to the marque. Here's a very nice 351w 4 barrel with an FMX at big money. http://www.ebay.com/itm/1969-Ford-Mustang-/382039572150?hash=item58f3553eb6:g:s0AAAOSwB-1Y7i7B&vxp=mtr
Caseyrhe 650 Report post Posted May 4, 2017 Have to ask about the license plate, has Mustang on top and Mach 1 on the bottom, is that a custom plate or standard issue noting that?
Thin Lizzy 37 Report post Posted May 4, 2017 It's a custom show plate with US raised type. Pre 1973 cars can display black and white plates in the UK. Show plates are not legal though but most police don't realise they're show plates if they're b/w.
