newstang 388 Report post Posted October 27, 2017 the sound does not do it justice either, its running open headers and despite the quiet in the mov. it is loud :-)
newstang 388 Report post Posted November 7, 2017 forming out the holes for the 2015 mustang mirrors, these have blinkers, puddle lights and power.
newstang 388 Report post Posted November 7, 2017 this so far is the most time consuming thing i've done, the shaved and tucked bumper is making me want to buy one made already. ( If i could find one )

I really like these mirrors. I am going to have to look at a pair of electric mirrors for mine. It's a real pain when they move each time you slam the door. 1 Footcutter11 reacted to this
RPM 1,190 Report post Posted November 8, 2017 Big effort I'd imagine on the rear bumper. A full write up with many pics would certainly be nice to showcase your talents, and allow us slackers a short cut :) Seriously though, the rear bumper on these cars apparently didn't get too many hours from Ford when designed. Very nice work there, carry on.
Footcutter11 23 Report post Posted November 8, 2017 I may steal your idea. Very nice work!
newstang 388 Report post Posted November 8, 2017 dry fitting. I love using silica bronze to tig these parts together, flows so nice. Ill be bondo-ing and painting bumper same as car.
RPM 1,190 Report post Posted November 8, 2017 Real nice work there! Ya I've read and seen vids on the bronze tig welding, just never done it myself. Thaaanks...now I have another project added to my list. Ya know, California is warm this time of year, and the second of anything is always easier...hmm. newstang 388 Report post Posted November 10, 2017 Welded the lower valance to the quarters. i like the clean no seam look
RPM 1,190 Report post Posted November 10, 2017 Good stuff! I like the welded panels, and are probably the same amount of work as getting the gap right on a bolted valance. Folks talk about the issues if it's rear ended, but I don't buy it.
MAC390 327 Report post Posted November 10, 2017 I agree with RPM, really like that clean look and nice work.
newstang 388 Report post Posted November 10, 2017 if its rear ended, it will need a whole lot more than just the valance, either way, cut grind weld, paint
Cantedvalve 128 Report post Posted November 14, 2017 When I had my driver quarter replaced, they didn't preserve the valence pocket at the back. This is a possible solution... hmmm...

newstang 388 Report post Posted December 1, 2017 Im thinking of not doing the fold down rear seat, does anybody know what is needed to make it fixed ? and.... does anyone have said parts they want to part with?
Cantedvalve 128 Report post Posted December 2, 2017 Actually, must of the parts to make it fixed are also part of the fold down. Rear seat upholstered parts are the same. There are a couple of trim pieces that need swapped. I think I have them around here someplace. You plan on keeping the fold down parts? I'm actually converting to... just need a few more pieces (the ones that are hard to find of course).
