Raven R code 281 Report post Posted September 19, 2016 This is what I currently have. I'm guessing the pin should only go as wide as the plastic tabs on either side of the pedal arm....
KipDurran 18 Report post Posted September 19, 2016 Is that the correct pedal for the car? It looks as if it has the chrome trim. Correct me if I am wrong, but I don't think the 69s had this as an option. I wanted a 69 pedal that was chrome trimmed to match my brake and E-brake but couldn't find one. The 68 chrome trimmed pedal has a different mounting. It is the same size and the chrome trim popped off the 68 and fit perfectly on the 69. 1 JayEstes reacted to this
RPM 1,190 Report post Posted September 19, 2016 Ditto above. Plus the 69 has a spring on the shaft that the extended ends rest on the pedal and the other books around the vertical pedal arm. 1 JayEstes reacted to this

Raven R code 281 Report post Posted September 20, 2016 Great pictures Brian! After reexamination, I found that the hole on the pedal seems to have elongated on just the one side(possible defect?). The longer pin provided better support for the pedal. Looks homemade but not def not correct. I need to find the correct pin for my new pedal. And since I can't find new stainless....will need to buff the original . Thanks, Dave
