Glue-in Quarter Window

Recommended Posts

In the process of adjusting one of my coupe's quarter windows, the glass came unglued. Argh! After cleaning all the glue off the glass and the mount, there seems to be quite a gap between the two. Will the glue fill that in, or do I need some sort of insert or shim?

ok, that is tough . urethane sealer will work and "the right stuff" from permatex will "work", however both are slightly flexible . The correct stuff is bonding cement  it gets hard and does not flex.

The window also needs to be at EXACTLY the correct angle with the channel and this is where the prob comes in . on the rears i shim the window so it is centered in the channel then glue it in place on the car then tape it to the body and front window so it is at the correct angle then let it dry.

if it is not 100% perfect after this but is very close, you can make it better with the adjustments.
