Best fitting aftermarket panels

Recommended Posts

Hi James . I fit a new rear quarter and wheel housing last week for my fastback. All Dynacorn gear and went together better than I thought . I fit the trunk floor a few years ago also Dynacorn and fit pretty good. The floor pan patch panels up front fit ok but the edge of the panels were folded the wrong way and the ribs don't match a 69. I can't remember who made them but a got them from NPD. They may be better now. As far as hoods go I hear Dynacorn are not great. You mentioned boot so I gather your an Aussie like me so if so give the mustang/falcon GT guys a call in Brisbane . Mustang Auto Parts. They import most mustang parts direct from the manufacturing plants in Tiawan and are pretty good on price. They source panels from different plants as some make better panels for different parts of the cars. I was going to purchase a dynacorn hood but they said they won't stock them as the quality was poor.

I purchased Dynacorn quarters for my '69 sportsroof at the request of my restorer. He had used Dynacorn panels before and had nothing but good things to say about them. Fortunately I didn't need any other sheet metal so I can't comment on the other panels that you need JamesS. Good luck.   Dave R.

I also will jump on the Dynacorn train. Used them in 2 different jobs on my car. First round was frame rail/shock tower/apron piece for both sides, torque boxes, toe boards and floor pans. Then when I got in a wreck the same body guy did the work again and used their hood, core support, front valance and drivers fender.
