Machspeed 219 Report post Posted December 25, 2015 Want to purchase a front spoiler for my 69 Mach. Want to keep as close to OEM as possible but a close repop is fine. Don't see much consensus on the web for any particular spoiler. Can anyone advice? rwcstang 214 Report post Posted December 25, 2015 got the exact same one, it fits great! you just need to drill some holes into your valance, but its a good quality chin spoiler it will also come with instructions sheets.
ray1970 88 Report post Posted December 26, 2015 Ray here. Looks like a good part. oem spoilers were kind of a poor fitting thing in there time. I can only think things have gotten better.(paid $20.00 for my last spoiler..long ago) In the long run I ended up bolting mine all the way across.....NO screws... you'd be surprised how easy it is to over shot something in a parking lot.. Now your dragging your new front spoiler half under the car... Ray
7TCatvert 24 Report post Posted December 26, 2015 I just installed mine last week I did also just bolted it on and used some 3m body tape. Can't really tell if stock or not fit fine...I used the MU one

ray1970 88 Report post Posted December 27, 2015 Ray here. my (3)OEM spoilers came with a hardware kit that was just screws but this was back in the late 70s-80s Never changed one out again after I bolted it on.(slow learner)Hell they were only $20.00 a shot.. Also there were a lot more dirt roads back then and the party always off that road. What were we thinking??? Ray.
alexrider16 1 Report post Posted January 20, 2016 Anyone tried silicon for extra sealing protection, how did you apply it? what type did you use. I'm kinda beginner to any mods especially to drilling in to the metal and just wanna make sure it's good and sealed. 1 JamesS reacted to this
Raven R code 281 Report post Posted January 20, 2016 I never used silicone and never had a problem. I would be more worried that the silicone might pull the paint.
