Footcutter11 23 Report post Posted November 12, 2015 Yeah, me neither. It's not in the long-term plans. But fixing what's already in the car is the fastest way to get it back on the road, so I can drive it while I assemble the parts for the definitive rebuild. I can totally appreciate that! stangnet33 88 Report post Posted November 13, 2015 Do you have access to a tap & die set and slide hammer ? I have a couple of small slide hammers just for this purpose of pulling automatic pumps but any slider will work. Tap 2 of the pumps mounting holes ( don't go into the case) across from each other and use a bolt attached to the hammer. Hope that makes sense 1 Rustang reacted to this

Rustang 11 Report post Posted November 16, 2015 I have a few tap and die sets, but don't have a slide hammer. Can probably grab a cheap one at Harbor Freight or something. I'll take a look at the video. Thanks for the tip!
Rustang 11 Report post Posted November 23, 2015 YAY!! Great success!! I tried the "Similar Idea" from the video above, and it totally worked. The tranny is apart now, and doesn't look too bad inside. Thanks a bunch Stangnet33, Pics to follow...
