Yeah, me neither.

 

It's not in the long-term plans. But fixing what's already in the car is the fastest way to get it back on the road, so I can drive it while I assemble the parts for the definitive rebuild.

I can totally appreciate that!

Do you have access to a tap & die set and slide hammer ? I have a couple of small slide hammers just for this purpose of pulling automatic pumps but any slider will work. Tap 2 of the pumps mounting holes ( don't go into the case) across from each other and use a bolt attached to the hammer. Hope that makes sense

YAY!! Great success!!

 

I tried the "Similar Idea" from the video above, and it totally worked.

 

The tranny is apart now, and doesn't look too bad inside.
