indianfiremach 170 Report post Posted September 7, 2015 I sent my TKO 600 to American Powertrain to have the top cover streamlined. Rcodenewf 44 Report post Posted September 7, 2015 I have a tremec tko 600 ready to go into my 69 fastback. FWIW: According to Bruce at Modern Driveline I will not have to modify anything for this to fit. I had contacted American Powertrain some time ago when I was researching this and was told that Bruce at Modern Driveline could answer the Ford questions better....go figure! I will be tackling my install within a few weeks. I also bought the MD clutch pedal, master and slave cylinder and MD crossmember. SM69Mach 68 Report post Posted September 7, 2015 I put a TKO 600 in mine last year. It is really close, but I did not have to modify the tunnel on mine. I think it depends on the car and because I have seen other posts that say it wont fit with out modifying the tunnel or a lowered rear cross member. BuckeyeDemon 211 Report post Posted September 21, 2015 the tko will fit without modifying the tunnel. however, dropping the tail of the transmission down to clear the tunnel can also lead to an impact to your driveline angles. hopefully you don't have a shaker.
