Raven R code 281 Report post Posted August 10, 2015 There Is a way to remove the cable assembly from the mirror. I did it to get the glass out in order to paint....in couldn't tell you how to do it without looking at it again. It actually comes apart very easily once you know, what to do. mustangstofear 608 Report post Posted August 10, 2015 If it's just the glass that's broken, then I cut them myself all the time.
Brian Conway 268 Report post Posted August 10, 2015 Could be wrong but I seem to remember that if you slant the mirror and I mean really slant the mirror you can see a set screw that holds/releases the post. Brian

JayEstes 173 Report post Posted August 12, 2015 I've heard of guys just going to a glass shop and having a piece of mirror cut to the correct size and just glued over the old one. This might be a good solution if yours is just dull and hazy like 55mach1's. It will move the surface back the thickness of the new glass, but probably not too noticeable in general use ...
