KT 69 12 Report post Posted July 14, 2015 I purchased a new nuetral safety switch 69-73 mustangs. I have four wires going to the NSS in my painless wire kit yet the NSS has 2 plugs for many more wires. One connector plug is blue the other is black. Which do I use and what is the other connector for? Note my stang was a bare shell no wiring when purchased and I am wiring it with a painless kit and have none of the original wiring for referernce. It is an automatic 4 speed 4R70W out of 2003 mustang.

JD08 42 Report post Posted July 15, 2015 The description I found was for a 69-70 FMX and said there was one wire that wasn't used. I've got a 70 with a similar problem. My problem is that the shifter in mine was missing the NSS and I can't find where to plug it in once I get a new one.The transmission tunnel/cow/firewall area is not exactly the easiest to search and I don't know if the other end is even there. CJ Pony Parts description: Ford replaced the 1969-1970 version with the 1971-1973 version which has an extra wire for accessory options. 1969-1970 cars will not need the extra wire, it can be cut off or left alone.
