Alvin D Morava 2 Report post Posted June 8, 2016 As you can see this is why I wanted to darken the boards some how as the lenses are going to be a lot closer to the boards and would really show thru
69FB 12 Report post Posted June 10, 2016 Alvin D Morava you did exactly what I was thinking of doing. Making the taillights flush with the tail panel and have it hug the curve of the metal. Beautiful job and I'd love to know how you did it if you would be willing to share.

Alvin D Morava 2 Report post Posted June 10, 2016 I posted on here several years ago when I had made them, I still have my mold blocks when I made them, email me at als69mach1@yahoo.com. I will dig thru my archives or go into my gallery under profile and see how I did them
Raven R code 281 Report post Posted June 10, 2016 Might be a bit of time....but what about using a red sharpie marker to color the panels red? The panels have some sort of rubberized coating on them but I think the marker would stick.
69FB 12 Report post Posted June 11, 2016 Found a post done by Eviltwin about making flush mounted taillights. http://1969stang.com/forum/index.php?/topic/49169-how-to-how-i-made-flush-mounted-tail-lights/
NordicDawn 7 Report post Posted June 14, 2016 I bought Plasma LED bulbs from West Coast Classic Cougar. The running lights are twice as bright as the1157 standard bulbs. I also had to use an electro mechanical flasher (X2 regular and emergency). The lenses are original ford tooling, painted the reflectors chrome silver. They are unbelievably bright. Watch the video on the same site. http://www2.cougarpartscatalog.com/plasma2.html I just ordered those aswell for the brake lights, running lights and the back up lights. I like that its a 1-on-1 replacement, and price is great aswell.
Alvin D Morava 2 Report post Posted July 3, 2016 Got mine today thanks Gary, look real good and didn't brighten the lenses up that much. First pick front turn. Second front park. Reverse light. Tail lights then brake lights and rears with and without flash.

MUST 25 Report post Posted November 14, 2016 Hi Alvin,is this the same tail light modification from http://1969stang.com/forum/index.php?/topic/49169-how-to-how-i-made-flush-mounted-tail-lights/ Yes??by the way..I have checked the new lens from UK. The big problem is, there are no prisms inside. So you can see the LEDs or bulb.I must have curved tail lights!!!BRTom
