As you can see this is why I wanted to darken the boards some how as the lenses are going to be a lot closer to the boards and would really show thru

Alvin D Morava you did exactly what I was thinking of doing.  Making the taillights flush with the tail panel and have it hug the curve of the metal.  Beautiful job and I'd love to know how you did it if you would be willing to share.

Might be a bit of time....but what about using a red sharpie marker to color the panels red? The panels have some sort of rubberized coating on them but I think the marker would stick.

I bought Plasma LED bulbs from West Coast Classic Cougar. The running lights are twice as bright as the1157 standard bulbs. I also had to use an electro mechanical flasher (X2 regular and emergency). The

lenses are original ford tooling, painted the reflectors chrome silver. They are unbelievably bright.

I just ordered those aswell for the brake lights, running lights and the back up lights. I like that its a 1-on-1 replacement, and price is great aswell.

Got mine today thanks Gary, look real good and didn't brighten the lenses up that much. First pick front turn. Second front park. Reverse light. Tail lights then brake lights and rears with and without flash.

by the way..
I have checked the new lens from UK. The big problem is, there are no prisms inside. So you can see the LEDs or bulb.

I must have curved tail lights!!!
