Priming pump

Recommended Posts

. As my car may sit for weeks it's a bit of a pain to prime up the carby. Can I run a inline electric priming pump while still using my mechanical pump. Once primed just turn it off relying on the mechanical. I didn't really want to go full electric fuel pumps as they are very loud.

The new pumps are not loud at all.  The new Holleys are quiet for an external design and I used the Aeromotive Phantom that goes in the stock tank.  You can barely hear it without the engine running. Once running, you can't hear it at all.

I love mine.  I switched from mechanical because I started getting vapor lock problems with this crappy E10 swill they force down our throat.  I am in Florida and with a big block and our heat, silly thing would vapor lock every time I tried to drive any distance in the summer.  I would imagine you don't have any heat issues down under?  :)

The Aero solved all my issues and it's VERY quiet.
