Mach 1 stripes

Also, keep in mind that the trunk decal is also reflective in this kit. I don't believe the original is reflective.

there are comments in the threads above that seem to indicate some cars were and some weren't.

this original mach almost appears to be reflective.

So it appears that some trunk stripes are in deed reflective and some are not. This is what I love about this site......Archaeology. Trying to find the rhyme or reason behind all the subtle differences between all the cars.....that technically should all be identical but for what ever reasons are not. I'm sure the rear reflectivity had something to do with the production date or which plant it was built at. I may splurge and get the concours stripe. My car has been without a stripe kit since 1970/71.....she deserves the best at this point. Lol

That info is available in a few places. This section comes from the 69 FORD Mustang Illustrated Facts Book. Brian

Unfortunatley this is only a guide Bernie.  You could order what ever stripe colour you wanted back in the day.  My gulf stream Aqua has the black interior so the chart indicates black stripes.

I found traces of the gold stripes on my original fenders so i went with that.  My build sheet doesn't even state what colour was used just that one was ordered.
