69 Mustang GT Progress

Recommended Posts

I started a new thread for my Mustang update because I could not add photos to the old post for some reason. It is very close to being done. After having many issues with the convertible top well liner I finally had to tell TMI to stuff it and got one from Distinctive industries. I was very happy with National Parts Depot and how they bent over backwards to help get a well liner that was made correctly. I have been buying from them for years and will always look to them first for parts.

The well liner was way too tight and the convertible top frame would not be able to go down without tearing out the well liner. Also it did not have the pockets sewn into it that go over the corner of the rear seat area. Not sure how to explain that part of it. The DI one fit better and was made with the pockets.

Almost done. Off to the paint shop to get touched up and the GT stripe will go on after that. I opted to not put the rocker moldings back on because I don't like the molding and the stripe. It seems like there is too much going on. I am thinking about putting the chin spoiler on it. Thoughts?
